Will Work For American Girl Doll...

In an effort to raise money towards the American Girl Doll that she SO wants, Lindsay decided to start a lemonade stand. Nicholas offered his help to her for a nominal charge.

They're actually still outside with Dad. I've had to make 3 pitchers so far so they must be doing pretty darn good!
Daddy even gave the kids a little lesson in cross selling. LOL. Lindsay was cross selling rice crispy treats, all on her own. Shes got her daddy's sales technique down! Nicholas was such a great big brother by helping Lindsay stay organized.

Shes very determined to get her doll so we'll see how long it takes. She thinks she will be able to save enough within 2 months. At the rate shes saving, I agree. It may even be sooner!

Jack's 1st Day Of Preschool!

Jack (and parents) made it through his first day of preschool, Friday.

I wasn't sure how he would react so we snuck away when he had his back turned to us. When we came back to pick him up, we peeked through the window & he looked great. Of course, when we walked into the room, he immediately started bawling. My little guy decided to nap for only 1/2 an hour so of course, he was cranky the rest of the day.

Despite the short nap, Jack had a great day. We're so proud of our little guy!

No More Orange Bathroom!

The orange bathroom is now blue! Our guest bathroom is complete.

We picked Valspar's "lighthouse shadows" because it was a pretty, greyish blue. We're happy with the result!

David did an awesome job. Thanks, sweetie!

Last One Up...Sean!

Sean got dropped off last. My baby started preschool today.

We weren't sure what to expect when we dropped him off. He walked into the classroom and made a beeline to the Thomas Train with Annie & Clarabel. Turns out, he didn't care that we were leaving him there. I guess thats a good thing-I think : ( . In true David McLemore fashion, he gave the other kids a stern "be nice to him" before we left. LOL. When we were walking out, in true David McLemore fashion, he stuck Jack in the lost & found box. In true Susan McLemore fashion, I snapped a picture. Hey, what can I say? I'm part asian! ; )

Next One Up...Nicholas!

Nicholas was the next to be dropped off.

Today, he entered the 8th grade at Fossil Hill Middle School. This semester, his electives include spanish, weight training, and mythology.

Starting tomorrow, Nicholas will be taking the bus. Hes super nervous but I'm sure he'll end up making more friends.

Nicholas was embarrased but Dad was able to sneak in a picture. Sorry Nicholas. : )

GO WILDCATS!

Lindsay's First Day As A 3rd Grader!

Today, Lindsay started the 3rd grade at her new school!

Lindsay is attending Bette Perot Elementary. Its a beautiful, state of the art, exemplary campus. Her teacher is Mrs. Loud and Lindsay immediately took a liking to her.

We are looking forward a great school year!

Texas Rangers vs. Cleveland Indians

We took the kids to see the The Texas Rangers vs. The Cleveland Indians last night.

Rangers ballpark in Arlington, Texas is a beautiful stadium. We even had a view of the new Dallas Cowboys stadium that is under construction. The Cowboys are set to start playing there next season.

The kids had a great time. It was really exciting for them. They each have favorite players now. Lindsay's favorite player is one of the pitchers, #20-Brandon McCarthy. Nicholas' favorite player is #10, Michael Young.

They even got to see a fireworks explosion when the Rangers scored a home run! It was a great way to welcome Lindsay back to Texas!!
